Professional and Political Career
In the early stages of her life, Kyrsten worked as a social worker. Seven years of her life were spent helping the Washington Elementary School District. She then began her political career in 2002 by joining the Arizona Green party. In 2004, Kyrsten joined the Arizona Democratic Party.
In 2002, Sinema ran as an independent candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives, where she finished last.
