Kylie Jenner Returns to Met Gala as a High-Fashion Bride After Having Baby Boy
Just three months after Kylie Jenner, 24, and Travis Scott, 30, had their son, the Kylie Cosmetics mogul radiated wedding fervour on the Met Gala red carpet. Before leaving, the celebrity released a behind-the-scenes video of her 4-year-old daughter Stormi playfully ruffling the skirt of her billowing white ball gown.
Once on the red carpet, Jenner revealed the whole ensemble, showcasing her quirky take on bridal fashion with the fitted corset top featuring sheer panels and the voluminous skirt. Instead of a customary veil, the celebrity wore an adorned white backward baseball cap. A bridal birdcage veil dropped in front of the actress’s face from the hat.
Stormi sat on the floor and messed with the dress’ train in an Instagram Story video as the reality star’s team described the evening’s agenda. The child, who celebrated her fourth birthday earlier this year, wore grey sweatpants and a yellow hoodie for a casual look.
Stormi’s mother’s Monday appearance at the “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”-themed annual benefit marked her first Met appearance since the birth of her second child. Jenner and the 31-year-old “Highest in the Room” rapper announced Wolf’s name weeks after confirming his birth in February. Since then, they have changed his name to one that better reflects his personality.
Six weeks after the birth of her kid, Jenner revealed her mental and physical postpartum rehabilitation to her fans. “This experience has been more difficult for me than it was with my 4-year-old daughter, Stormi,” she said.
She said, “It’s not easy intellectually, physically, or spiritually; it’s just wild.” “And I didn’t just want to get back to life without addressing that because I think we can look on the internet — for other women going through it right now — and it may look a lot easier for other people, which puts pressure on us, but it hasn’t been simple for me.”
Jenner continued by stating that “it’s been difficult” and that she “didn’t even believe she’d make it to today’s workout.” She went on, “But I’m here, and I’m feeling better. So you’ve got it!”
She said, in a subsequent Instagram Story, “It’s okay to not be okay. Once I recognized that I was placing myself under strain… And I keep reminding myself that I created a complete human, a handsome, healthy boy.”
Jenner added, “We must stop putting pressure on ourselves to be ‘back.'” “After delivery, not even physically, but only mentally. Also, I’m just offering my love. I love you guys!”
A few weeks later, the new mother of two wore a skintight white latex gown to the Hulu premiere of The Kardashians to flaunt her post-baby body. She struck a pose in the edgy custom dress made by Copernic, which had a train and knotted asymmetrical trimming, and custom Amina Muaddi knee-high boots.
Balmain in 2017, Versace in 2017, Alexander Wang in 2018 (three months after giving birth to Stormi), and Versace again in 2019 were among Jennifer’s past Met Gala ensembles.
She skipped the 2021 Met Gala, which had been rescheduled to September 2021 due to the coronavirus epidemic, only days after she began flaunting her big baby belly in New York City.
