The couple status of “Love Is Blind” actors Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati has been officially confirmed. Three episodes of a new series called “Love Is Blind: After the Altar” concluded with the announcement.
“I want to simply start a relationship — like a true connection with you,” Kyle says to Deepti. And have a strong sense of exclusivity instead of floating aimlessly.” Are we really going to give this a shot?” she asks.
In response, Abrams says, “Yeah, yeah. Definitely, I’d like to. I want to, too,” Vempati chimes in. Apparently, they are a couple now, and Kyle explained his reservations to People.
Deepti Vempati
Deepti, now 31, was born in India but raised in the United States. She received her Bachelor of Science in computer science from Bradley University and is currently employed as a data analyst with Allstate. “I would tell the love of my life that I am ready to light up his life because my name literally means ‘light,'” she writes of herself.
Fans of the hit Netflix program will recall that attraction between the two characters was palpable during the first season, but nothing came of it. During the March Love Is Blind reunion, Kyle expressed regret for not pursuing his goals sooner to Nick, 48, and Vanessa Lachey, 41.
To paraphrase, “I should have made more of an effort to win her over. She’s the best, and I love her so much, he gushed. This is my biggest regret: that I didn’t see what was right in front of me. I apologize. But it wasn’t all on one side, either. Deepti revealed her sentiments for Kyle in a recent interview with New York Magazine.

In the second season opener of “Love Is Blind: After the Altar,” we see Kyle Abrams express his desire to be in a “exclusive” relationship with Deepti Vempati.
What changed his mind this fall, then? Kyle explained to People why he had decided to ask Deepti for an exclusive relationship. “I placed a lot of pressure on myself because I was like, ‘I don’t want this to fail. Because she was my best friend, I hesitated to become involved,” he explained to the media.
“And if it doesn’t work out, you kind of lose the friendship. Because if you break up for whatever reason — and I wasn’t planning to break up — but you always have to think about what happens after.”
He said that he was aware of some potential issues that could arise when dating a best friend. “I’ve been in that situation where you start dating your best friend and then you break up. You can’t really see that person anymore because it’s not fair to your future person,” he told People. “I wouldn’t want my current girlfriend to be hanging out with her ex-boyfriend. It’s not cool. I don’t think anyone would like that.

Fans of the popular Netflix series know that there was chemistry in the air during Season 1 but that no one took any action. In March, on the Love is Blind Reunion show, Kyle reveals to hole48 and Vanessa Lachey, age 41, that he regrets not going for his dreams sooner. In retrospect, I realize that I could have done more to help her. He declared, “I adore her so much, she is the best.” My biggest regret is that I didn’t recognize the obvious sooner. I apologize. The conversation was not monologue-like. Even Deepti, in a recent interview with New York Magazine, admitted that she felt deeply about Kyle.
Why did he suddenly change his tune this time around? Kyle explained to the public why he had approached Deepti with the proposal of a committed relationship. Because “I don’t want this to fail,” I placed an incredible amount of pressure on myself. She was my best friend, therefore I was scared to get involved,” he revealed to the media. Unless you do, you may forget about becoming buddies. Because you always have to think about what happens after a breakup, and I wasn’t planning on a breakup.
He admitted that he was cognizant of the difficulties that would occur from dating a close friend. I’ve been through the whole “you start dating your best friend and then you break up” thing. Telling People that you still keep in touch with your ex is unfair to your potential partner, he said. I’d like my current girlfriend not to associate with her ex. It’s not cool to do that. I doubt there is a single person who will approve of it.;
