What Will Be the Storyline of the Upcoming Season?

As described in Netflix’s official synopsis, “The Masire brothers rule Johannesburg’s criminal underworld, but a supernatural family curse and a tangled web of betrayal threaten to destroy them.”

Kings of Jo’burg Season 2

It is clear that the new season portrays a picture in which the Masire brothers have little room for error, something major is on the horizon, and time is running out. A pair of men can be seen in the trailer digging what seems like a grave in the middle of nowhere at night as their voices can be heard in the distance sounding solemn and menacing.

There are nights when Mogomotsi “Mo” Masire (Zolisa Xaluva) can’t sleep because he’s haunted by dreams about the past he used to have but has since lost.

A young man with light-blue sparkling eyes is the first otherworldly menace we see the Masire face. Other disturbing photos include a takedown in a garage, two people exchanging threatening glances, and a lady peering into a car via a window. A voiceover says, “Do not hold back,” as we see a weary Mo sitting in a car.

Mo is not upset to continue controlling the streets, despite being under severe emotional stress while under the watchful eye of the law, and everyone is aware of this. “Masire is making his move,” the voice says. Absolutely, he is. You don’t get to the top by risking everything. Mo is shown gathering his troops, a standoff occurs under a bridge, and then the cowries, voodoo, and dark magic performed by a woman behind beaded curtains are revealed.
