John Wick Star Lance Reddick Was Found Dead in His Home!
Lance Reddick, an actor, was found dead in his room on Friday. He was 60 years old. This is sad news for everyone in the TV and film industries. At the time he was found, Reddick was in the United States for a press tour for “John Wick 4” before the movie came out.
TMZ says that the cause of the actor’s death is still unknown, but it is thought to be a natural cause. In this hard time, people from all over the entertainment world have sent messages of support to his family. Just a few days before this awful thing happened, Reddick posted a video of his dogs barking, and everything seemed fine. Given how young he was when he died, there is an ongoing investigation into what happened.
Lance Reddick has played some of the most memorable characters in both movies and TV shows over the course of his career. A great career that has been going on for decades and will never be forgotten. In the hit TV show “Fringe,” he played Phillip Boyles, one of his most important roles.
He was also in other hit shows like “Lost,” “OZ,” and “The Wire.” But right now, his most important role was as Charon in the “John Wick” movie. This Keanu Reeves movie is being shown in theatres all over the world right now. After hearing about Reddick’s death, the whole cast and crew must be heartbroken.
Reddick also played the Greek god Zeus in the new Disney Plus adaptation of the “Percy Jackson” books, which was another project that was about to happen. Lance Reddick taught Arts and Sciences at Yale University as well. His body was found at his Studio City home around 9:30 a.m.
On Wednesday morning, Lance posted that video of his barking dogs and accidentally said he wouldn’t be at the New York City premiere of “John Wick 4“. He didn’t say why he wasn’t going to the premiere, but there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with him. Lance was born and raised in Baltimore. He went to the University of Rochester for his music degree and Yale for his MFA. May his soul rest in peace.
Breakthrough with The Wire
The actor got his first big part in the HBO prison drama Oz, where he played an undercover drug officer named Johnny Basil. In 2002, he became the main character on the crime drama The Wire. The show was popular and well-liked, and it ran until 2008.
While that was going on, Reddick kept coming back to CSI: Miami, Numb3rs, and Lost in recurring roles. After The Wire ended, the actor was put in the science-fiction show Fringe as the head of an FBI department. He played Deputy Chief Irvin Irving on Amazon’s Bosch from 2014 to 2021.
Reddick’s first movie was Alfonso Cuarón’s Great Expectations, which came out in 1998. Then, he was in White House Down, The Way of War, and The Siege, an action movie directed by Edward Zwick. In 2014, he played Charon in John Wick, which starred Keanu Reeves. In 2017, 2019, and 2023, he played the same character in three sequels to the movie.
