Jeremy Renner on His Healing From a Life-threatening Accident!

When the news of Jeremy Renner’s catastrophic accident surfaced on January 1, everyone feared the worst. Early reports indicated that he was in critical condition, which was logical given that the accident at his residence in Lake Tahoe, Nevada featured an almost seven-ton snow plow.

On January 3, many certainly sighed a sigh of relief when Renner, an Academy Award-nominated actor, Hawkeye of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and most recently known for his major role in “Mayor of Kingstown,” finally posted to Instagram from the intensive care unit.

This particular Instagram post was accompanied by an image of him having physical treatment. Yet, Renner’s own public opinion has been surprisingly optimistic. “These thirty or more shattered bones will heal and grow stronger, just as the love and bond with family and friends grow stronger,” he wrote. Today, Renner has revealed additional details of his recuperation, which are understandably intense.

While the Beatles’ “Lady Madonna” plays in the background, Renner’s leg has many electrical nodes and his leg muscles are twitching. The inscription states, “Electrical stimulation workout and muscle strength.

The procedure depicted in Renner’s film is technically termed electrical myostimulation, according to WebMD. It involves applying electrodes to the skin. A battery sends an electrical current to the electrodes, which are then passed into the muscles, with the goal of increasing muscle mass and so accelerating the healing process.

Commenting briefly on the video, Deadline said that Renner continues to promote his acting profession through social media as much as possible. Moreover, it appears like virtually everyone in the MCU is rooting for him. So while it appears that Renner’s recovery will be very severe, it also appears that he is eager to return to work.

Jeremy Renner’s Recovery

Renner is currently undergoing rehabilitation therapy. The technique depicted in his Instagram post is known as electrical muscle stimulation, which employs electrical impulses to promote a pattern of muscular tension and relaxation in order to enhance blood flow and encourage muscle growth.

On the path to recovery, he has posted several encouraging messages on social media about the equipment and routines he has implemented into his everyday life.

This is not the first time that Renner has suffered a catastrophic injury. When filming the 2018 comedy Tag, the actor was executing his own stunt when the script asked for his character to climb a chair stack that was not properly secured.

The chair stack collapsed, causing him to fall and fracture his right elbow and left wrist. Many erroneous stories claimed he sustained an injury on the set of Avengers: Infinity War. His broken limbs were digitally rebuilt and he wore bright green casts for the duration of production.

Renner began his acting career in the 1990s and went on to portray both the hero and the antagonist in earlier blockbuster films such as 28 Weeks Later and S.W.A.T. before receiving an Oscar nomination for best actor in a leading role for The Hurt Locker and a nomination for best actor in a supporting role for The Town.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was cast as Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, and made his first appearance in Thor. Five films and one Disney+ streaming series saw the actor continue to portray Hawkeye.

Renner is also a musician, having published two EPs, one single, and a cover of “House of the Rising Sun” featured in the third season of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy.
