Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez honeymooned in Paris after getting married in Las Vegas, and their trip was extensively filmed by paparazzi who followed them literally everywhere they went. And apparently Ben was not present at all.
Ben Affleck celebrated his 50th birthday on August 15, and Jennifer Lopez threw him a “complicated” party. The newlyweds, who tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16, proceeded to celebrate Ben’s landmark birthday.
“By bringing the kids to NYC for Ben’s 50th birthday, J.Lo and Ben were able to kill two birds with one stone,” a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife after the married pair was photographed in the Big Apple with all of their children. All three of Ben and Jennifer Garner’s children were present, including Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 8, as well as Jen’s twins, Emme and Max, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The insider stated, “Ben’s children were able to spend time with their father, which was very important to him, and her children were able to do the same.” In addition to the birthday celebrations, everyone had to complete some last-minute wedding-related activities.
According to prior reports, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 53, and the Batman actor are arranging a second wedding at Ben’s Georgia house. “The children needed to be suited for the forthcoming wedding, and she need adjustments to her gown. J.Lo brought the children to a Broadway play and took Violet shopping at Bergdorf’s because she believes that these experiences are crucial for children to have,” the friend noted.
“J.Lo wanted to show the children where she grew up and introduce them to some of her relatives in New York City. This is her territory, and she adores it,” the person stated. “Last night, she threw an elaborate celebration for him, which included members of her family. They had a few loose ends to tie up regarding the wedding, including a meal taster, as well as travel arrangements with their people there.
Meanwhile, the happy pair is apparently preparing for a three-day extravaganza at Ben’s vast Georgia estate outside Savannah. According to Page Six, Jen is wearing a Ralph Lauren-designed and Italy-made dress. The festivities will begin on August 19 with a rehearsal dinner, according to a second Page Six article.
The wedding itself will take place on August 21. It will be all about J.Lo, a source reportedly informed the publication. Ben wants her to be the centre of attention on their wedding day. HollywoodLife has reached out to their representatives for comment but has received no response.
