Jacob Bertrand, the lead actor of Cobra Kai, describes his collaboration with girlfriend Peyton List as “such a blessing.” ‘My Best Friend’ (Exclusive)
Bertrand told that meeting List on the ‘Cobra Kai’ set in 2016 was “so much fun to hang out” with her.
Jacob Bertrand really enjoyed working alongside his girlfriend, Peyton List, on Cobra Kai.
After his love connection with List began on Cobra Kai, the 24-year-old actor talks to PEOPLE about the martial arts series’ sixth and final season.
“It was great,” he shares. “Peyton and I worked together a long time ago on this Disney movie called The Swap (2016), and she was really cool and I had a blast filming with her. And when you wrap something like that, I don’t think I’ve ever worked with the same person twice besides her.”
Bertrand had “fun” working with her but felt he was “never going to see that chick again” until List joined Cobra Kai.
“It was so much fun in season two getting to [work with her],” he gushes. “That’s the bulk of pretty much when I was filming with her, season two and season three. I mean, she was so much fun to hang out with. She’s one of my best friends.”
“It was awesome. It was such a blessing,” he adds.
Bertrand, who portrays Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz on Cobra Kai, and List, who portrays Tori Nichols, initially disclosed their romantic partnership in March 2022.
“We’ve been dating for a while,” Bertrand told TMZ at the time. “I’ve never dated anyone I’ve worked with before. This is almost trial by fire.”
“We’ve been friends for a while,” he added. “I met her when I was like, 15. I was actually tight friends with her brother Spencer, so that was kinda awkward to be like, ‘Hey man, I like your sister.’ But yeah, we had fun on set and then hung out off-set.”
When asked if it was a difficult decision to start a relationship with someone she works with, List jokingly responded, “I guess so, yeah. And then think about the consequences later!”
Cobra Kai was initiated in 2018 and will conclude with its sixth and final season, which will be divided into three installments. The initial installment was released on July 18 on Netflix, and the subsequent installment will be available on November 15. The final installment of the comedy-drama is scheduled for 2025.
Season 6 commences with the elimination of Cobra Kai from the Valley and the Miyagi-Do Karate dojo senseis and pupils deliberating on whether and how to participate in the Sekai Taikai, the world championships of karate, according to the official description.
Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, John Kreese, and other actors are featured in the series, in addition to Bertrand and List.
The first installment of Cobra Kai season 6 is available to stream on Netflix.
