Erich Schwer and Gabby Windey had a contentious discussion about whether or not it was too soon for an engagement in part two of The Bachelorette finale, but their adventure finished with a proposal at the final rose ceremony. Erich was the last male left for Gabby going into the second act of the epilogue, and she received the happy ending she desired.
Before the final rose ceremony, Gabby told Erich she loved him, and when they finally met in Mexico, she said it again. Erich dropped down on one knee and proposed with an oval-shaped Neil Lane ring after realizing that the feelings were mutual. Over a gold band, the enormous single diamond was perched.
Gabby declared her love for Erich to begin the rose ceremony. Gabby said, “With you standing here in front of me, you remind me of a love I’ve only ever experienced in my dreams. “Before I knew how to love myself, you loved me. You put up a valiant fight for me in a conflict that neither of us anticipated would end well. You truly are everything to me.
I used to think you were too good to be true, but now I realize that you are both too good and true. As long as you let me, and for a lot longer after that, I want to love you.
Erich spoke on his own before getting down on one knee. The last time we saw each other, Erich stated, “I think it was incredibly hard just because we’ve been waiting for this to be true. It’s pretty hard for me to describe all the time, but I think it was really hard.”
“I understand that you had second thoughts about me, and I was unsure of my ability. You deserve a partner who will give you their all, who will always be there for you without fail. I’m here because I want to be that person for you, which is why I’m in front of you.
You bring out the best in me, which is one of the things I admire most about you. For me to be here, everything had to line up perfectly. You have to attribute it to fate. We had our two or three brief conversations after which our connection was insane.
I was terrified to meet you and was quite frightened. The thing that comes to mind the most is how I was completely myself when I first met you. I’ve never experienced such comfort with someone. I thought I had known you forever. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I had found my true love. Your walls were eventually broken, and our relationship progressed to this ridiculous degree.
You truly give me the impression that I’m alone in the world. For the rest of my life, I will put up a struggle every day to maintain that sensation. You are so loved, Gabby Windey. I’ve never met anyone as amazing as you. Until the wheels come off, it’s just you and me. I want to be with you for the rest of my life. Do you want to wed me?
She stated that Erich last spoke with her the day before the show’s July debut and that he sent her flowers before departing for the set.
