In a hilarious video from Chiefs camp, Travis Kelce quotes office space and employs his signature phrase
Travis Kelce knows how to have a good time
The NFL team’s social media accounts were utilized to distribute the video.
On and off the field, Travis Kelce knows how to have a good time!
The Kansas City Chiefs released a funny compilation of the tight end’s most recent mic’d up moments during practice on Wednesday, August 21.
The sportsman, 34, can be seen talking to himself while stretching out his hamstrings in the first scene of the video, which was posted on the NFL team’s official TikTok and Instagram pages.
“Ooo, hamstrings aren’t too bad,” he says before quickly having a change of heart: “Oh, don’t speak too soon there, bud.”
Chiefs added caption: “Nobody has more fun at work than @killatrav 🤣”
After a few plays, Travis Kelce asks his teammates, “That didn’t tire y’all out?” Then, in a humorous move, he approaches another NFL player and asks, “You ever been on TV? Say hi to Mom.”
The mic picks up Kelce’s voice when he says his trademark “Alright now” and references the 1999 comedy Office Space when he asks, “Has anyone seen my stapler?” as the film cuts to more footage of him on the field.
Although Kelce has a good time, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes made a point of his dedicated work ethic earlier this month in a news conference.
“He loves working,” Mahomes, 28, shared with reporters. “It makes my job easy as a leader to push other guys because I can just say, ‘Look at the Hall of Famer who’s out here practicing harder than anybody.’ “
“That’s what makes him so special is that he enjoys the process of being great, not just the top, not winning the Super Bowl. [Travis Kelce] enjoys the process of practicing,” continued Mahomes. “He enjoys the process on working on little details, and that’s what the great ones do.”
While Kelce’s schedule is about to ramp up again—the Chiefs play the Chicago Bears in their third preseason game on Thursday, August 22—he will be featured in the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.
On the Tuesday, August 20 broadcast of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, original film actor Adam Sandler verified the news and described Kelce as a “very nice guy.”
“You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. He’s a stud and he’s so funny,” said Sandler, 57.
