The creators are said to have reached an agreement with one of the largest OTT service providers, Amazon Prime Video, according to the reports.
According to the terms of this arrangement, HIT 2 will not be made available on the video-streaming service Amazon Prime until after it has been in theatres for a period of eight weeks. This makes it abundantly obvious that the release of HIT 2 via OTT is not anticipated until after the 15th of January 2023.

What is the Storyline of HIT: The Second Case?
Jhansi's extramarital affair breaks Ram Prasad Koduri. Jhansi frames Ram Prasad for marital abuse to avoid him exposing her. He goes home but is shunned and commits suicide.
KD, an SP with Andhra Pradesh's Homicidal Intervention Team (HIT) in Vishakapatnam, is recognised for his calmness and speed in catching offenders. He lives with boutique owner and women's rights activist Aarya. After everyone leaves her bar, Sanjana is brutally murdered and butchered.
KD and his buddies Abhilash and Varsha meet Sanjana's roommate Ranjitha, who tells them of a pub Sanjana liked. KD's squad interrogates personnel but fails. KD meets Sanjana's parents and sees a photo of her childhood pal Raghavudu, who has a murderer's extra tooth on his incisors.
Aarya tells KD she is pregnant with his child. After Raghavudu's murder is widely criticised, KD's DGP Nageshwar Rao conducts an encounter. KD receives a message stating Raghuvudu was in Kakinada when Sanjana was killed.
Disgraced Raghavudu commits suicide in prison once the encounter is cancelled. Varsha tells KD that Raghavudu was with his married girlfriend in Kakinada during the murder and refused to provide his location to protect her. The murderer threatens KD, who protects Aarya without telling her the truth and urges Ranjitha to move in with Kumar.
KD discovers that Pooja, past president of the same women's welfare organisation, is the other bodily half. KD learns from an elderly housekeeper that Jhansi's prior president of the same group was also brutally murdered. KD and Varsha discover Jhansi and Ramprasad had a son when they arrive. The murderer kidnaps Aarya.
KD arrives at the clinic and discovers Rajeev is Ranjitha's lover Kumar, who kidnaps KD and threatens to kill Aarya. KD unties himself and defeats Kumar with Varsha's help as Max fights Kumar. KD marries Aarya after transferring to Telangana. KD's successor, Arjun Sarkaar, congratulates him.
How Was the Movie Perceived by the Viewers?
The critical reception of HIT: The Second Case was lukewarm at best. “Sailesh Kolanu’s HIT 2 is one of the best-written Telugu films in recent times, with each character, scene, and dialogue having relevance to the story”. the film received 3.5 stars from The News Minute's Balakrishna Ganeshan.
“The thriller, executed with aplomb by Sailesh Kolanu, wants to be a consummate whodunit, in the sense that it shifts its focus away from who committed the crime to what are the killer's motives for committing it”, commented Arvind V of Pinkvilla, who gave the film three out of five stars.
With a 2.5/5 star rating, Manoj Kumar R of The Indian Express said: “HIT 2 is a significant improvement over the first iteration. One can only hope that Sailesh fills in the gaps in his storytelling and becomes a more refined filmmaker with HIT 3”.
