Season 2 of High School of the Dead Is Confirmed or Not?
The Manga series High School of the Dead by Daisuke Sato and Shoji Sato has become a popular anime series. Because of the explosive growth of zombie fiction in recent years, this animation shows what would happen if large segments of the population suddenly turned into walking dead.
A plague known as “The Outbreak” wiped out most of civilization, and zombies are referred to as “Them” practically every time.
According to customary zombie-world practice, other survivors are often more dangerous in a zombie world than the hungry corpses. Even though it is not the most accessible anime to get into, it has a devoted following.
There are presently seven volumes of the manga available and two omnibus editions containing the first through fourth and fifth through seventh volumes, respectively, of the collection. Twelve episodes and a one-off special (known as an “OVA”) were included in the first season of the anime series. Is there a second season for “High School of the Dead” fans?
The Release Date for the Second Season of High School of the Dead
Manga’s final chapter came out in April 2013; Season 1’s last episode aired on September 20, 2010. After that, the OVA “Drifters of the Dead” was released on Blu-ray on April 26, 2011. Both dates were when the manga came out.
The first four volumes of the manga were compiled into the anime, implying that there will be three more volumes produced. Which begs the question: When can we expect “High School of the Dead” to hit theatres?
As of right presently, there are no plans for a second season of “High School of the Dead.” Firstly, the creator of the original series, Daisuke Sato, died last year.
As far as the passage of time goes, the second-speed bump is that the original series ended more than a decade ago. The survivors of “High School of the Dead” and their die-hard admirers, on the other hand, continue to hold out hope for a better future. It may be resurrected if there is still enough material to work with.
The Cast and Characters of High School of the Dead Season 2
This season has yet to be officially confirmed, but we know who might appear in it based on our knowledge of the manga and anime cast. Geraldo Anzaldua voices Takashi Komuro, Jessica Boone plays Rei Miyamoto, Taylor Hannah portrays Saeko Busujima, and Maggie Flecknoe shows Saya Takagi. Mark X. Laskowski portrays Kohta Hirano in the English dub.
Shizuka Marikawa is played by Monica Rial, while Brittney Karbowski plays Alice Maresato in the Japanese version. These characters begin the game with modest weapons like wooden swords, but as their abilities grow, they get access to more powerful military-grade equipment.
You never know who else might show up, like Koichi Shido (Illich Guardiola), Rika Minami (Melissa Davis), or even Rei Miyamoto’s mother Kiriko (who has yet to appear in the anime) or father Tadashi (who has yet to appear in the anime) (Steven Knight). Other characters and new ones may be introduced if a second season of “High School of the Dead” is ever made viable. Another issue is that the original voice actors would reappear after such a long absence.
Season 2 of High School of the Dead: Plot
‘High School of the Dead’ follows a group of brave survivors as they struggle to survive in a dangerous world. While most of the pupils at “High School of the Dead” are good-hearted, a few are eager to help humanity rise above its more animalistic tendencies. What happened before “The Outbreak,” and whether or not criminal groups were directly responsible for the calamity, may be explained.
So if somebody wants to continue this series and hasn’t seen the manga for the original material, they’ll be left with a lot of work ahead of them if they desire to do so. If most individuals have been traumatized or have turned into leering corpses, is there any hope for everyday life? No, hammering their heads in isn’t the only method of curing the undead. Despite the show’s impending demise, one can only hope that it will return for a third season.
