In this lockdown period, a huge number of people are using Google’s Meet app for video calling either officially or unofficially. There is a calculation that over 2 billion minutes of video calling took place only in March. During this home quarantine, for any purpose public is using video conferencing apps like Google Duo, Google Meet, Skype, Zoom, etc. Among all these apps Google’s Meet took the first place for videoconferencing. The name of the app has been changed from Hangouts Meet Google Meet.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic condition, employers are isolatedly employed from their residences by using the video calling app. In this process, Google Meet has crossed an amount of 2 Million users each day all over the world. Thomas Kurian, Google Cloud’s Chief confessed that the video conferencing path had recorded about 2 billion minutes in March. He also confessed that as per CNET, this platform is rising daily by 60%. The change that has taken place in altering the app’s name was established to Android Police.

The working people who are depending on the digital platforms in the world were undertaking the video calling apps like Google Meet and Zoom, which are rising rapidly. Downloads have exceeded to 62 Million from 14th March to 21st March, as per the reports of AppAnnie. The normal video call apps such as HouseParty is also involved in this report. Downloads of trading apps were raised to 62 Million on Play store and Apple store apps and the informative notes, when grouped with earlier weeks observed that there was an increase of 45%. By collating with the previous year’s statistics, the weekly mean downloads of marketing apps were enormous by 90%. Lockdown and home quarantine are the only solutions to straighten the curve to reduce the increasing cases in the U.S. and Europe. Due to this, video chatting apps were widely utilized for teamwork and to sustain emotional attachment for Europeans and Americans.
