Gypsy Rose Compelled to Undergo Paternity Test to Confirm Her Husband Isn’t the Father of Her Child

Even though Gypsy Rose is convinced that her husband, who she is divorcing, is not the father of her pregnant child, she will probably still need to undergo a paternity test.

According to a recent In Touch article, Gyspsy may be having issues with her newborn child’s paternity. Despite her assertions that her boyfriend Ken Urker is the father, there are further complications due to Louisiana law.

Louisiana Legislation Could Require Paternity Testing

According to the Louisiana Paternity Establishment Program website, Louisiana law presumes the husband or ex-husband to be the father if a mother is married to someone other than the biological father at conception or has been divorced for less than 300 days before the child’s birth, unless legal steps are taken to establish paternity for the biological father.

Gypsy conceived the child at the age of 32, alone from her ex-husband Ryan Anderson, but she didn’t file for divorce until April 8. Consequently, Ryan, 37, will be listed as the baby’s father on the birth certificate in accordance with Louisiana law.

The website also mentions that in Louisiana, if the mother and biological father are not married when the child is born, the biological father has no legal rights to the child, and his name will not appear on the birth certificate unless paternity is established.

How Gypsy Quickly Informs Her Ex That She is Pregnant?

Gyspy hasn’t addressed how her pregnancy is affecting her divorce, but it seems that she informed her former partner of her pregnancy prior to the announcement.

Gypsy informed him right away that it was Ken’s child. At first, he didn’t think it was real,” a source told Us Weekly. “He has treated her more than fairly and politely. That’s the main thing that hurts him.

Gypsy announced her first pregnancy on social media earlier this month. She is expecting a kid with her partner, Ken Urker. Before Gypsy married Ryan, she was engaged to Ken, and not long afterward, she filed for divorce.

She revealed in her post that she is 11 weeks pregnant and that, although she is excited about the news, the pregnancy was unexpected.

The source went on, “He feels as though Ken has taken something precious from him and still harbors feelings for her.” He’s had a difficult time getting over those feelings, but he’s making ends meet.

Gypsy initially rose to national prominence as a result of her tragic tale, which came to light in the wake of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard’s death in 2015. Due to Munchausen syndrome by proxy, Dee Dee misled everyone into thinking Gypsy was seriously ill while in reality, she was fine.

Because of this abuse, Gypsy decided to kill Dee Dee with the help of her online boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn. The Act on Hulu and the HBO documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest both included the story.

Gypsy has concentrated on education and advocacy for abuse victims ever since she was sentenced to 10 years in prison for second-degree murder in 2016.
