An update on Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s pregnancy!
The 33-year-old actress of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up is bringing her admirers and supporters along for the ride as she and her partner Ken Urker get ready for the birth of their first child.
Blanchard provided a lovely contrast to show her fans how big the baby is.
“I’m 16 weeks and our little one is now the size of a banana!!” she captioned an Instagram carousel on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
Blanchard was seen smiling in front of a banana display in a grocery shop, holding the fruit close to her tummy, in the first picture. A fruit-based “size guide” with a 16-week-old banana was the subject of the following slide.
“We love watching my belly grow! More produce updates to come,” her caption continued.
In a subsequent Instagram post, Blanchard clarified for her followers that her child is, in fact, the size of an avocado.
“*Correction* I’m 16 weeks and our little one is the size of an avocado! 🥑 I love watching my baby bump grow💗,” she wrote alongside a photo of her holding the fruit.

Over the weekend, the Louisiana native shared a since-deleted post of herself comparing her growing baby’s size to a different fruit during a grocery store visit.
“I’m 15 weeks and our little one is now the size of a mango!! We love watching my belly grow! More produce updates to come,” the Saturday, Aug. 3, post was captioned.
Blanchard wore a T-shirt with the word “wifey” printed across it for the picture.
Many people pointed out in her comments section that she is still lawfully married to her now-estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, in response to criticism directed at her outfit choice.
While she went to prison in 2015 for the murder of her abusive mother, the former pair tied the knot in 2022.
After Blanchard’s public debut on December 28, she and Urker disclosed that they anticipate welcoming their child in January 2025.
“This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we’re both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood,” she said in a YouTube video announcement.
The baby’s gender will be disclosed at a future celebration, Blanchard hinted on a TikTok Live.
Blanchard and Urker were formerly engaged, but they broke up in 2019 before she wed Anderson.
The Life After Lock Up actress formally filed for divorce from Anderson in April, and two months later, Urker relocated from Texas to Louisiana so the two could carry on as a pair.
In late June, Blanchard discussed her breakup with Anderson in a YouTube Q&A.
“I know it’s gonna sound [like] a really cheesy answer, but the truth is when I divorced Ryan, and filed for divorce and I followed my heart to true love,” she said.
“I’m not going to say that I think that a baby will help a marriage or a relationship, because obviously there’s the added stress. I know that realistically, there’s going to be arguments too,” Blanchard told in July 2024.
After noting that she and Urker both came from divorced parents, she added, “When we have a child, we will stick together for the long haul. This is a forever thing because we don’t want our child to grow up in a broken home.”
