A Look at the Main Cast Members of Ginny and Georgia!

The second season of Ginny & Georgia is out today. The first  trailer for the coming-of-age drama/mystery series caused a stir last year when it poked fun at Gilmore Girls, and the show gained even more notoriety as a controversial favourite thanks to a few infamous scenes but it nonetheless became a fast favourite among Netflix subscribers.

After premiering in February 2021, the show was quickly picked up for a second season. The first season featured 10 episodes that chronicled the journey of a mother and daughter as they settled into a quiet Massachusetts suburb. The cast teased “more surprises, more living room parties, and more climbing through windows.”

Debra J. Fisher and Sarah Lampert, the showrunner and creator of Ginny & Georgia, respectively, issued a statement after the renewal thanking the show’s viewers. “We are so appreciative of the incredible response and love you all have shown Ginny & Georgia… We can’t wait to return to Wellsbury for season two.”

Due to the sheer volume of events, we have created a cast list, updating you on the whereabouts of each major character and introducing the actors who play them. Follow the show’s stars on social media and read on to refresh your memories before the return of Ginny and Georgia. Don’t forget to check whether season 3 of Ginny & Georgia is confirmed.

At the end of Season 1, Georgia is on a high after being engaged to the (reelected) mayor of Wellsbury. However, her happiness is short-lived as she discovers that her children ran away on a stolen motorcycle the night of the election.

She struggles to maintain her optimism in the days that follow their departure, although feeling deeply saddened by it. Since Georgia can only move forward, she does so with gusto, accepting her new title as “mayoress,” organising the wedding of her dreams, and attempting to outwit those who would destroy her future by uncovering her past.

The role of Georgia is performed by Brianne Howey. She has been on TV in several shows, including The Exorcist on Fox, Dollface on Hulu, and Batwoman on The CW, where she played a supporting part.

  • Ginny Miller

As a result of Ginny finding out that her mother poisoned Kenny, Georgia’s relationship with her daughter suffers. Ginny has stolen Marcus’ bike in an attempt to run away from her mother, but there is no way she can avoid returning to Wellsbury.

She yearns for Marcus and the return of her pals and the freedom to be herself. These rather standard adolescent yearnings are amplified by the sorrow she’s experiencing due to the grim information she’s learned about Georgia. Ginny, feeling alone and traumatised, starts cutting herself and seeks a trusted friend to help her stop.

The role of Ginny is played by Antonia Gentry. She had small roles in Ben Shelton’s teen film Candy Jar and an episode of Netflix’s Raising Dion before her breakthrough major role in Ginny & Georgia.

  • Austin Miller

Charming, creative Although Austin has a hard time adjusting to life in Wellsbury, he is devastated when he learns that his father never got any of his letters and that the responses he so dearly valued were all forgeries created by Georgia. With his world turned upside down, he took his sister and fled. His social life and relationship with his father undergo radical transformations upon his return to normalcy in Season 2.

Diesel La Torraca potrays the role of Austin Miller. He has a few acting credits under his belt already, including Abe Forsythe’s horror comedy picture Little Monsters, NBC’s La Brea, and the Australian drama Lambs of God, despite being a relatively young actor.

  • Marcus Baker

Marcus, the gloomy artist, still loves Ginny despite the fact that she took his motorcycle. She motivates him, and this boosts his mood and outlook on life, but it does little to dispel the darkness within him.

  • Max Baker

It’s safe to say that Max is struggling. Her loneliness deepens after learning that Ginny and Marcus are dating, especially because she is still reeling from the rejection she received from ex Sophie (Humberly Gonzalez). So she and Abby (Katie Douglas), who also found out but hid it, are icing them.

In season 2, the two women are still hurting from the loss of their wine-night pal, and the disappearance of Marcus’ motorcycle doesn’t do much to help.
