The show’s main cast members are Ben Hansen, Jereme Leonard, and Sarah Lemos. ‘Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files,’ ‘Paranormal Lockdown,’ and ‘Ghosts Of Shepherdstown,’ among other episodes, have included Hansen. He’s a former FBI agent with exceptional investigative skills. Leonard, a demonologist, has appeared on a number of podcasts.
The trio is completed by Lemos, the squad’s psychic. She had previously appeared on Banner Travel’s “Ghost Hunter Cruise” in Salem, Oregon, where she was born. They are accompanied by local historian and archivist Diane Wiltz, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair, and Mayor Grizzaffi, who maintains a close eye on the entire procedure.
What’s the Story of the Haunted Show, and Who’s Behind Them?
Morgan City, Louisiana, Police Chief James “Bo” Blair is on a mission to figure out what’s behind a sequence of strange occurrences and an increase in emergency calls linked to paranormal activity. He contacts Shepherdstown, West Virginia, Police Chief Mike King, who has previously dealt with a situation similar to this.
After conversing with Blair, he enlists the services of Jereme Leonard, Ben Hansen, and Sarah Lemos. It’s up to the three of them to figure out what the heck is going on. We follow the members as they investigate weird incidents in and around Morgan City throughout each episode. They search for similar patterns and indicators that lead to a solution. Researchers discovered that the hauntings don’t just happen in Morgan City, but all around St. Mary Parish.
The plot of this docuseries is set in motion when a woman claims to have encountered a spirit while driving through a hazy stretch of Lake Palourde. The squad goes into action after being contacted by the authorities to investigate the occurrence. Closed-loop plots are common in ghost hunter series like “Ghost Adventures,” and this one is no exception.

In the first episode of this series, a mysterious mist appears to be hiding a monstrous creature. It is totally up to the viewer to decide whether or not it delivers a definitive solution. Each episode’s suspense is accompanied by re-enactments of ghostly encounters. Experts from a variety of fields step up in the interim to explain the numerous phenomena and their likely explanations.
The show also incorporates historical narratives and investigations, making it the perfect blend of murder mysteries, paranormal encounters, and investigative CSI techniques. In her book “Ghosts of Morgan City,” a local historian Diane Wiltz raises several noteworthy points about the town’s tumultuous past.
For example, the mist is said to be haunted by the ghost of Ada LeBoeuf, the first woman who hung in Louisiana in 1927. Following up on their leads, the detectives talk with her great-great-granddaughter, who offers a few more clues. The team then uses technology to run experiments to search for any signs of aberrant activity. Ada’s murder conviction is overturned at the end of the story, and her family is able to come to terms with her death.
We begin to receive more calls from locations outside of Morgan City as the inquiry progresses. As a result, the team is compelled to look for information about the parish. A plantation in Louisiana was the site of a brutal voodoo battle during the American Civil War. The three engage with a haunted family home that is once again occupied by the soul of a tiny girl.
To put an end to this eerie tug-of-war, the crew must go through historical archives one by one, uncovering alarming facts. Finally, if you decide to watch this show, don’t simply watch it for the strange premise; you’ll also learn a lot about Cajun culture, history, and some beautiful locations.
