Georgia Holt, the American singer, and performer who was also the mother of the artist Cher passed today at the age of 96. Cher revealed the passing of her mother Georgia Holt on Twitter, writing that her mother has passed away. Her spokesperson, Liz Rosenberg, then verified the tragic news in the Washington Message on Sunday, after her Saturday post.

Cher confirmed in September 2017 that her mother was hospitalized with pneumonia and had been ill for the preceding few months, implying that the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again actress died as a result of her illness.

Since the outbreak of the global pandemic, the 76-year-old musician has stated that she is taking extra precautions to ensure that no one around her, including her mother, contracts COVID-19. She, along with her mother, sister, brother, and assistant, wore masks on a regular basis and maintained a certain distance from one another.

While discussing her mother's declining health in 2020, she stated that they have always lived in a little bubble. And Cher herself was an asthma patient, so she had to take special care of herself.

Jackie Jean Crouch, the singer's father, initially taught her to play guitar and also supported her throughout her singing career. Holt, who was born in Arkansas, was exceptionally skilled and has won numerous beauty contests.

Georgia Holt began her acting career in her twenties. Throughout her lengthy career, she appeared in films such as Grounds for Marriage and A Life of Her Own, as well as television series such as The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and I Love Lucy.

Holt was born to Lynda Inez Gulley, who was only 13 years old at the time. Before entering adolescence, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she quickly got numerous television parts and a number of epic programs.

In the 1980s, Georgia Holt eventually recorded an album named Honky Tonk Woman, but the album was not immediately released. It took decades, as it was released in 2013.
