Storyline of Fantasy Island Season 2
“A modern drama series, desire Island takes set at a luxurious resort, where literally any desire asked by guests is fulfilled, albeit they rarely turn out as expected. Each episode will explore the “what if” questions (both large and small) that keep us up at night, and will tell the story of a different person who comes to Fantasy Island in search of fulfillment, only to leave having been enlightened and altered by the island’s magical realism.
Fans of the program will recall that at the end of the first season, Ruby Akuda (Kiara Barnes) encountered her husband Mel (Adain Bradley) on the island while he was stuck between this world and the next. The pair had an emotional 24 hours before Mel faded into “eternity.”
When Elena Roarke (Roselyn Sanchez)’s husband dies, it’s evident that Ruby is now in charge in his absence.
In reference to Elena, the final episode reveals that she and her fiance were originally planning to leave the island. They had planned for the mysterious Fernando to take over while she was gone, but the island turned on him. So, she decided to remain on the island.
Fernando, however, was dismayed by her decision and felt disrespected by the fact that he would no longer be in charge.
When Fantasy Island returns for its second season, fans can look forward to learning more about the dynamics between Elena and Fernando. The arrival of new characters on the island also means that viewers may look forward to emotional scenes involving previously unseen personalities.
