Glimpse of Emmy Awards 2022: Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni about to Kiss, the Cast of ‘Abbott Elementary’ Supports Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Other

An evening to remember! Monday, September 12, 2022, in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the Emmy Awards 2022 for television were held, bringing laughter and more.

Friends, The Brady Bunch, Game of Thrones, and Stranger Things were among the shows whose hit tunes were remixed by the event’s emcee, Kenan Thompson.

“Well, people, it’s finally here. During his opening monologue, Thompson, 44, joked that tonight was “TV’s most special night, where the biggest stars on television celebrate other stars on television as you all watch at home – on television.” “The Emmy Awards are here!” … For everyone in this room, television is more than simply a means of subsistence. This is also how our agents earn their living.”

He said, “I mean, what would we do in our spare time without television? Read books? In the past fifty years, no one in this room has read a book. View TikTok? Oh, you’re referring to a tiny vertical television? Or have sexual relations? Gross! ”

The Saturday Night Live cast member’s quips about Netflix and jabs at Leonardo DiCaprio’s romantic life continue to raise eyebrows.

“Zendaya from Euphoria is here. Zendaya just turned 26 last week. Best wishes for your birthday! “26 is an odd age in Hollywood,” observed Thompson. You’re old enough to date Leonardo DiCaprio, but still young enough to play a high school student.

The 26-year-old former Disney Channel star shielded her face from the camera as she began to chuckle.

Sheryl Lee Ralph was in a state of disbelief after winning her first Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the exciting awards show. The actress’ Abbott Elementary co-stars showed their support as Tyler James Williams escorted Ralph, 65, to the stage while he was accompanied by Ralph.

“I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like — this is what striving looks like,” the actress added in her speech, immediately after performing Dianne Reeves’ “Endangered Species” on stage. “Never, ever give up on yourself, because if you have Quinta Brunson in your corner if you have a husband like mine in your corner if you have children like mine in your corner, and if you have friends like everyone who voted for me, cheered for me, and loved me… thank you! ”
