Elliot Page will continue to play the role of Vanya Hargreeves in season 3 of the Umbrella Academy. The show is a Netflix series about a dysfunctional family of superheroes. It has become a really big hit on the streaming platform.

However, there were some people who were of the opinion that Vanya Hargreeves character on the show must be recast. 

GLAAD, the LGBTQ advocacy group, pushed back at the notion that Vanya should be recast with a cisgender female actor.

There must not be any problem with Trans actors playing both trans and cisgender roles. Elliot is a perfect fit for the role of Vanya and must continue to play it no matter what some people might say.

Some people are of the opinion that Page should be removed from the show. Since it is unfair, it is not happening as Netflix has shown him full support.
