The accident happened on January 11, and Garcia spent a few days in the hospital, where she was not able to talk because her brain was hurt so badly. His family decided to keep him on life support, but on January 17, he passed away. The family hasn't said how and where the accident happened yet.
“Donovan fought his biggest battle and went seven rounds, but he was tired,” Garcia's family said when they told people the news. His family wants everyone to know that he is at peace and that they are at peace with God's will. Everyone, thank you for your continued prayers, help, and love. The memory of Donovan and what he left behind will last forever.”
“People who liked boxing and a lot of other people liked Donovan. He loved boxing, and he won many championships at it. He has a good heart and always puts others ahead of himself. Everyone will miss him very much,” his family said.
