It was so good that Fred Silverman gave the siblings their own show. For a variety show that ran from 1976 to 1979, this turned into The Donny and Marie Show, which was a big hit! Donny and Marie was a talk show that ran from 1998 to 2000.
As a TV show host, Donny Osmond did not stop after The Donny and Marie Show. His next job was as a host of the game show Pyramid from 2002 to 2004, Identity in the UK, and The Great American Dream Vote, which was canceled after two episodes. In 2008, he and his sister Marie were the hosts of the Miss USA pageant.

After David Cassidy left the show Little Johnny Jones in the early 1980s, Donny Osmond took his place. There was only one performance of the show, so it was canceled after only one show. During the 90s, Osmond had a lot more success.
He starred as Joseph in the show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. All in all, he took part in a lot of shows for the musical. He was later cast in the same role for the 1999 film adaptation. For his role as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, he made a comeback in 2006.
