Dhoni could lead Chennai Super Kings till IPL 2022, says CSK CEO

Best Finisher and the DRS king MS Dhoni is not just a name, it’s a name synonymous with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) the team in yellow with precise experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL). 

Dhoni, One of the most triumphant captains in the tournament history till date, Dhoni, with his amazing strategies and experience led CSK to all total three IPL titles. The most amazing part under his captaincy is that the team has played immensely eight finals till now in total ten seasons.

If we talk about the most successful skippers, undoubtedly, Dhoni resides the most successful skipper in terms of the number of wins in the history of IPL.

What Chennai Super Kings CEO Says?

Kasi Viswanathan, Chennai Super Kings CEO strongly believes that Dhoni will surely play for the three-time champions CSK for more three years at least, that’s till IPL 2022.

However, he is slightly afraid  about the veteran wicket-keeper batsman’s form. His anxious regarding the form is obvious, as, after a long gap of more than a year, he gears up and ready to make a comeback to competitive cricket. 

When Did We Saw The Finisher Last On The Ground?

If we go back in the past.  we would see that Dhoni last played for India in the 2019 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand. Moreover, after this match, he stayed away from all forms of cricket to date. 

The report says that Dhoni was all set to propel his comeback in IPL 2020, with everything going on the mark and was initially scheduled to start from 29th March. 

Nonetheless, his retrieval got halted after the scheduled league was deferred due to the surprise encounter of coronavirus pandemic. 

When We Can Expect Now? 

Good news for the fans after waiting such long, IPL 2020 is now ready with its complete schedule and set to begin from September 19 in the UAE

IPL without Dhoni wouldn’t be blooming, thus the Veteran Wicket-keeper batsman is all set to bring about his comeback as fans and his teammates dawdle in anxiety to gawk him launch opposition bowlers once again out in the stands.

However, Viswanathan, CSK CEO is convinced about Dhoni’s IPL future. He also stated that the 39-year-old skipper understands his job well and will no doubt take the scrutiny of the squad in UAE.
