There is another source of entertainment besides the large screen and streaming, and that’s TV Cable. We tend to forget about this. Netflix and Amazon Prime and Disney+, which will be the new home for Disney, including MCU and Star Wars films, have been the subject of much discussion recently.

We tend to overlook the existence of TV Cable as an alternative to the big screen and streaming. It’s constantly coming up with new ways to stay relevant in today’s competitive marketplace.

Everything about the Mouse House was shown on the Disney Channel when we were youngsters, and we’d be lying if we stated otherwise now.

Even though we’ve grown accustomed to a wider choice of entertainment options, the Disney channel remains a big source of entertainment for a very specific demographic with its original programming, cartoons, and home movies.

Another one of Disney’s many successful properties that fans find particularly fascinating but peculiar is The Descendants, a spin-off focused on the Disney princesses’ teenage offspring and how they band together as an odd bunch of fundamentally “good” people despite their horrific origins and parents.

For Disney Channel, the first “Descendants” film was released in 2015, and the viewing figures grew even after re-airing. Only Disney’s “High School Musical” TV movies were capable of showing fresh songs and original musical composers in this film.

Two years after the release of Descendants 2, Descendants 3 was released. Descendants 4 is the most pressing question at this point.

When Can We Expect the Release Date of the Descendants 4?

No word from Disney on the status of a fourth Descendants film, so no one knows when we may expect it.

A live-action or animated film could be released in 2022, depending on when Disney formally announces the project.

Just to name a few, the first Descendants film was released in July 2015, followed by Descendants 2 in July 2017 and Descendants 3 in August 2019, and finally Descendants: The Royal Wedding in August 2021.

Descendants 4 is projected to arrive in theatres in 2023 if Disney follows the release timetable of the previous three films.

Descendants 4 may not be available to stream on Disney Plus until early 2024 if the film releases on Disney Channel in the summer of 2020. Since the Descendants films have been released on Disney Plus around six months following their premiere on Disney Channel, this is the case.

At this point, no official cast members are known, however, it is expected that Disney will try to bring back the majority of the original cast for Descendants 4. Dove Cameron (Mal), Sofia Carson (Evie), Booboo Stewart (Jay) and Mitchell Hope (Mitchell) are the early favourites to return in the fourth film (Ben). Sarah Jeffery (Audrey) and China Anne McClain are also set to return (Uma).

We’ll likely see familiar faces from the previous films, including Alice, the Queen of Hearts, and the Mad Hatter in the upcoming fourth instalment, which is supposed to be inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.
