Chicken Run 2 Expected Release Date: Know Everything About Upcoming Season
Chicken Run 2 is officially in the works. Aardman Animation and Netflix produced the critically praised musical short Robin Robin in 2021. The animated short was included on the shortlist for the Academy Awards and the longlist for the BAFTAs. After the success of their initial cooperation, Netflix and Aardman are eagerly exploring additional projects, with Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget being one of the largest. Additionally, the first image from the sequel has been unveiled.
Chicken Run is the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time, and the Aardman crew has long desired a sequel. The studio revealed that they have waited a long time for “the right story and the appropriate partner.” With the success of Robin Robin, the studio believed that this was the ideal time to fulfill their desire and “bring back our chicken heroes.”
Expected Release Date Chicken Run 2
Chicken Run 2 does not yet have an official release date, but according to a press statement from Netflix, “production is well underway.” While we do not yet have an exact release date, we do know that the long-awaited sequel will be available on Netflix somewhere in 2023.
Our best estimate for the release of the sequel is June 2023, which would coincide with the 23rd anniversary of its first publication on June 18, 2000. Obviously, we could be completely incorrect, and the movie could be released sooner or later than we’ve mentioned; but, until we receive confirmation from Netflix, we’ll have to continue checking back for updates.

The Characters of Chicken Run 2
In 2023, Ginger and Rocky will return to our screens. In the updated version, however, their voices will be provided by Thandie Newton and Zachary Levi, respectively, when earlier they were portrayed by Julia Sawalha and Mel Gibson. According to an official press release from Netflix, the pair is “wonderful together.”
Bella Ramsey, of Game of Thrones, will join the ensemble of the animated family comedy feature as their rebellious daughter, Molly, who is characterized as a “genuine gal from the old block.”
Jane Horrocks (Babs), Imelda Staunton (Bunty), and Lynn Ferguson (Mac) will reprise their roles, while Josie Sedgwick-Davies (Frizzle), David Bradley (Fowler), Romesh Ranganathan (Nick), Daniel Mays (Fetcher), and Nick Mohammed will play new parts (Dr. Fry).
What is the Plot of Chicken Run 2
Despite the absence of data in the Twitter release, the Aardman website includes a little more information on Chicken Run 2. Ginger and Rocky escaped at the climax of Chicken Run and established an ideal island where the entire flock could live without fear of becoming meat pies. The sequel’s premise suggests that since we last saw them, the couple will have welcomed a new member to the flock: a small chick named Molly.
Ginger and Rocky are about to discover that the Tweedy farm has launched a new scheme: a terrible conspiracy that threatens not only the hens on the farm but all chickens. Ginger and Rocky will have to break into the farm to stop the evildoers there when they are forced to leave their island hideaway to stop them.
The studio is maintaining silent regarding the nature of this new threat, but we have a strange hunch that it has something to do with the mass production of poultry products for consumer use.

Conclusion
Nevertheless, we are all enormous fans of Aardman’s underappreciated cartoon masterpiece. Ginger, a courageous hen, teams up with Rocky, a stuntman rooster, to save her pals from a fate worse than death: being baked into a pie. Essentially, it’s a brilliant adaptation for children of the war film The Great Escape (we resisted the urge to call it egg-cellent). Less than a year remains until the release of the sequel, and folks want to know what’s going on in the coop.
