Who is in the Cast of the Mandalorian? Latest Updates!
Season 3 of The Mandalorian is well underway, and the cast keeps growing. The third season has been about Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu trying to rejoin the religious Mandalorians led by the Armorer (Emily Swallow).
As they travelled to Mandalore, they met Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), who had once claimed to be the ruler of Mandalore.
But Chapter 20: The Foundling, the fourth episode of this season, shows that these aren’t the only characters from the show’s past or the wider Star Wars universe who are back.
So, keep reading to find out everything you need to know about the characters in The Mandalorian season 3 who bring the Star Wars universe to life.
Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian
Din Djarin is the main character of the series. He is a lone gunfighter whose nickname is “Mando” because he was raised by a group of Mandalorians after he lost his parents. He follows their rules to the letter, which include not showing his face to another living thing.
But he has broken this rule more than once, which has gotten him into a lot of trouble with his sect. In the first season, Din was hired to find The Child, who later became known as Grogu, and give him to bad people. Instead, he saved the mysterious baby and kept him safe. Since then, they have become close, like a father and son.
Gina Carano as Carasynthia “Cara” Dune
Dune is from the now-destroyed planet Alderaan, which was also Princess Leia’s home. She fought for the Rebel Alliance in the Galactic Civil War. She became friends with Din while helping him free a remote tribe that was under attack. In season 2, she comes back to fight Moff Gideon. But Dune isn’t in the third season. He is working for the New Republic behind the scenes.
Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon
Before the second Death Star was destroyed, Moff Gideon was an officer in the Imperial Security Bureau. Now, he is in charge of bringing back the oppressive power of the regime. He had the Darksaber for a while.
This is a legendary weapon from Star Wars that Mandalorians want very much because the person who has it becomes the heir to the planet’s throne. Din Djarin beat Gideon in battle in season 2, and he took the blade. This could put him at odds with Bo-Katan Kryze, who wants to be the leader of Mandalore, though. Gideon is in jail right now.
Carl Weathers as Greef Karga
Din Djarin has known Karga for a long time. Even though Mando’s decision to save The Child drives a wedge between them at first, Karga’s sense of right and wrong keeps him from giving in to the Empire. He is the High Magistrate on the planet Navarro at the moment.
Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto
Peli Motto was a docking bay worker and ship mechanic on Tatooine. She met Din Djarin for the first time when he gave Grogu to her to take care of during a mission. She is now their friend, and she comes back in the third season.
Omid Abtahi as Dr Penn Pershing
Dr. Pershing is a scientist who used to work for The Client but is now on Moff Gideon’s side. He is studying Grogu’s blood to see if he can transfer the child’s force powers to another body. Dr. Pershing was caught the last time we saw him, but he comes back in the third season. He is now living a new life on Coruscant under the watch of the New Republic. But Pershing is eager to keep going with his work.
Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett
Boba Fett is the character who got people interested in the Mandalorians, even though he wasn’t born into their culture. He was first seen in the original trilogy. He was a bounty hunter who worked for people like Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt. Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt hired him to take Han Solo hostage because they owed them money.
But when Luke Skywalker came to save his friend, Boba, he knocked him into the Sarlacc Pit, where people thought he would be eaten slowly and painfully for an unimaginably long time.
