Corey Miller (born March 9, 1971) is an American rapper and songwriter better known by his stage name C-Murder. He rose to notoriety in the mid-1990s as a member of his brother Master P‘s label No Limit Records, primarily as a member of the company’s supergroup TRU.
Miller released numerous solo albums with the label, including the platinum-certified Life or Death in 1998. On six different record companies, including No Limit Records, TRU Records, Koch Records, Asylum Records, RBC Records, and Venti Uno, C-Murder released nine albums.
Miller was arrested in 2002 for the murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas, and he was sentenced to life in prison on August 14, 2009. Miller is jailed at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at present. Two significant witnesses in the prosecution of Miller recanted their statements in 2018, stating that they were pressured by officials into testifying against Miller. Miller maintains his innocence, and he, his brothers, and his nephew have all demanded a new trial on multiple occasions.
Release Date for the C Murders
C-Murder, whose true name is Corey Miller, was sentenced to life in prison in 2009 for the 2002 shooting death of Steven Thomas, age 16, at a Louisiana nightclub. The case was revisited in BET’s new documentary series No Limit Chronicles, with two key witness comments contradicting their 2018 testimonies, alleging that police and prosecutors pressured them into identifying Miller as the shooter. Miller has always kept his work, but his attorneys’ numerous attempts to have his conviction overturned have failed.
What Happened to C Murders?
Corey Miller, sometimes known as C-Murder, was found guilty of the charges brought against him, although his case was controversial. Several witnesses may have been accused of lying to the jury while they were on hold, but a juror has now admitted that she was coerced by the government into returning a guilty verdict against her judgment.
In addition, a witness recanted his testimony in 2018. C-conviction murders have always been maintained. The 49-year-old is currently detained at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center, where he will likely spend the remainder of his natural life if he cannot prove his innocence, which he continues to assert.
He also continues to compose songs while incarcerated, with “Don’t Wanna Trap No More” scheduled for release in January 2021. It is also important to recall that Kim Kardashian has been advocating for the C-release of Murders for quite some time, citing the lack of forensic evidence against him.

In 2018, when two witnesses from the night of the shooting refused to testify, new motivations arose. The first witness, Kenneth Jordan, said that he was persuaded by cops to identify C-Murder as the culprit. Kenneth stated in his statement, “I know that the individual I saw shooting the gun was not Corey Miller” Darnell Jordan, who worked security the night of the incident, alleged that police “tricked” him into naming C-Murder as the perpetrator.
He said that he was arrested and kept as a drug witness until he consented to testify against the rapper in 2003. I am positive that Corey Miller did not shoot Steve Thomas, as he claimed in a statement. Kardashian West revealed that she will cooperate with singer Monica, who was dating Miller at the time of his arrest, as well as REFORM Alliance members Jessica Jackson and Erin Haney. This organization’s mission is to “dramatically reduce the number of individuals subjected to the criminal justice system in error.”
