Moreno made his professional MMA debut in Mexico in April of 2011. In his first two years of professional baseball, he compiled a record of 6 wins and 3 defeats. Moreno will challenge Deiveson Figueiredo for the UFC Flyweight Championship in December 2020 after a successful 2020 campaign. The bout was deemed a majority draw, and a rematch has been scheduled for July 2021. After winning the fight, Moreno became the first UFC champion of Mexican descent.
