Fighting Career
Moreno made his professional MMA debut in Mexico in April of 2011. In his first two years of professional baseball, he compiled a record of 6 wins and 3 defeats. He debuted in the World Fighting Federation in 2014 and went on to amass a perfect 5-0 record. He ultimately won the Flyweight category championship. Due to his achievements, he was cast in the Flyweight competition of “The Ultimate Fighter's” 25th season.

Then, in September of 2019, Moreno returned to UFC at UFC Fight Night 159. The match was a split draw. He then defeated Kai Kara-France by unanimous decision in December, followed by a victory against Jussier Formiga in March of 2020.
Moreno will challenge Deiveson Figueiredo for the UFC Flyweight Championship in December 2020 after a successful 2020 campaign. The bout was deemed a majority draw, and a rematch has been scheduled for July 2021. After winning the fight, Moreno became the first UFC champion of Mexican descent.
