Bo is also well-known as a football coach who was appointed head coach at the University of Nebraska in 2008, a day after coaching Louisiana State University in the 2007 SEC Championship Game. In his first three years at Nebraska, he won three consecutive Big 12 North Division titles.
Initially, the boy grew up in Youngstown and began playing football while attending Youngstown Cardinal Mooney High School.
