Rose left the show shortly after the first season ended, and Javicia Leslie was cast as Ryan, a unique character developed to take Kate’s place.

The first season of the show debuted on October 6, 2019, and ended on May 17, 2020, with 20 episodes. On January 17, 2021, the second season premiered, and on October 13, 2021, the third season premiered. After three seasons, the show was cancelled in April 2022.

She wrote on Twitter that there would not be the fourth season of Batwoman. She also said that she was glad that 51 episodes of the DC show were being honored. She also said thank you to the talented people who worked on the series.

Even though season 3 of Batwoman ended with a few cliffhangers and a storyline that would be revealed in the future, the creators have confirmed that the show is over.
