Arnold wanted to be the most famous professional bodybuilder in the world as soon as he heard that some of the past winners of the Mr. Universe competition went on to have successful acting careers in Hollywood.

Arnold was named Junior Mr. Europe in 1965. At age 20, he was the youngest person to win the Mr. Universe title, which he did in 1967. Arnold would win the title three more times after that. Schwarzenegger went to business school in his spare time, even though he was very successful as a bodybuilder.

Career

Schwarzenegger said that when he was young, he found a bodybuilding magazine and was blown away by it. He read the magazine more quickly than anything else he had ever read.

Arnold's first win in a contest was in the Junior Mr. Europe contest when he was 18 years old. Since then, he has become addicted to competing and has won a lot of trophies and competitions, which you can learn more about in the next section.

During his career as a bodybuilder, he won 5 Mr. Universe contests and 7 Mr. Olympia contests, which is the same number that Phil Heath just tied with. Schwarzenegger got into the movie business after a very successful career in bodybuilding. Even though people told him that he was too big and had an Austrian accent to be a good fit for movies.

Still, he played many roles, the most famous being the “Terminator” in which he came up with the catchphrase “I'll be back!” He always wanted to get to the top and worked hard to get there. In the end, he became the Governor of California from 2003 to 2011.

Personal Life

From 1986 to 2017, Arnold was married to Maria Shriver, a TV newscaster and the niece of President John F. Kennedy. They have four kids together, including Katherine, who married actor Chris Pratt, and Patrick, who is a model. Arnold and Maria broke up in 2011 after it came out that he had a son with the family housekeeper 14 years earlier.

It took six years to settle their divorce. Arnold kept the family home in Brentwood, where they had lived for a long time, while Maria used his money to buy a new home nearby. Family vacation homes in Sun Valley, Idaho, and Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, are still owned by both of them.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Net Worth

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a bodybuilder, model, actor, businessman, politician, and Austrian-American. He is one of the most famous actors in the world and has been paid the most in the entertainment industry at times. At the time this article was written, Arnold Schwarzenegger was worth $450 million.

When he was at the top of his game, he made between $20 and $30 million per movie. Arnold has been in movies for a long time and has made a lot of money from them. Since he first came to the US in the 1970s, he has put most of his money into real estate and other investments. Arnold's real estate is worth more than $100 million on its own.

Real Estate Investments

In September 1968, when he was 21 years old, Arnold Schwarzenegger moved to the United States with $27,000 saved up from winning competitions. Taking inflation into account, $27,000 in 1968 is equal to $182,000 today, so it wasn't a small amount. Arnold began making small investments in real estate as soon as he got to Hollywood.

He bought a small piece of land in Palmdale, California, where people said a supersonic airport would soon be built. Arnold didn't give up after his first investment failed. To buy an apartment building, he used the rest of his money to borrow $10,000 from his trainer at Gold's Gym in Venice, California. The cost to buy it was $214,000.

He sold the building a year later for $360,000. He then moved up to a building with 12 units, then a building with 36 units, and finally a building with 100 units. Every time Arnold sold a building, he put the money from the sale into his next business.

This way, he could avoid paying taxes and increase his chances of making money in the future. Arnold had made $1 million in real estate by the time he was 25 years old. All of this happened long before he became a famous actor.

Arnold now owns a large number of commercial properties, most of which are in Southern California. If you leave out the homes he lives in, his portfolio is worth more than $100 million.
