It was on March 11, 1993, when Anthony Davis was born to Anthony Sr. and Erainer in Chicago, Illinois. Antoinette, his identical twin, and Lesha, his elder sister, complete his immediate family. Davis attended Perspectives Charter School as a teen, where he was a member of the basketball team.

Davis helped the Pelicans beat the Houston Rockets 131–112 in their season opener on October 17. He scored 32 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and gave out a career-high eight assists. He also blocked three shots and stole three balls. In a 107–98 win over the Chicago Bulls on November 7, he had 32 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocks.

Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in July 2019 for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round draught picks, including the No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NBA draught by the Lakers.
