“Anne of Green Gables,” written by Lucy Maud Montgomery and first published in 1908, is the inspiration for the children’s television series “Anne with an E.”
The show is composed of several actors like Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R. H. Thomson, Dalila Bela, and Lucas Jade Zumann star in the CBC-produced adaptation of Anne Shirley, which was written by Moira Walley-Beckett and produced by CBC.
The show is set in the year 1896, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, two elderly siblings who have never married, adopt an orphan boy to help with their ancestral farm in Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
A 13-year-old girl named Anne Shirley instead of the child Matthew went to pick up at the train station. She is extremely talkative and creative. The death of her parents at a young age left Anne an orphan. She worked as a servant for a number of different families before being taken to an orphanage.
Two years in a row, Anne with an E was awarded the Canadian Screen Award as the Best Dramatic Series. Orphaning, child abandonment, psychological trauma, social issues such as pressure for conformity, gender inequality, racism, religion, homosexuality, bullying, and freedom of speech are all addressed in the series.

On March 19, 2017, the series premiered on CBC and on May 12 on Netflix worldwide. A second season was ordered in August 2017 and a third season was ordered in August 2018. As soon as Season 3 was released in 2019, CBC and Netflix announced that the show had been canceled.

How Anne With An E Season 3 Ends?
