When Will Alice in Borderland Season 2 Release?
In March 2022, Netflix announced that filming for the second season of Alice in Borderland had concluded. Season two will premiere in December 2022, exactly two years after the premiere of the first season. Netflix verified the announcement in November 2021 as part of their virtual Japan Festival event, announcing the release as part of a promotional reel for the next year.

The entire series will be available on Netflix when it debuts. In the interim, the full first season is still accessible to anyone who wants to catch up or refresh their memory.
What Happened in the Alice in Borderland Season 1?
Arisu, a young man infatuated with video games, is thrust into a lethal competition in an unexplainably abandoned Tokyo. Arisu and his two pals confront a series of tasks directed by an invisible entity, with the difficulty and deadliness of each obstacle signified by a playing card’s suit and number.
Arisu meets Usagi, a young woman, and they work together to solve the riddle in order to collect all the available playing cards after his buddies die during a game. Their travels lead them to a vast hotel filled with other players, where it is discovered that every card save the Ten of Hearts has been acquired.

When the final challenge for the Ten of Hearts is done, many other players in the hotel are killed, but Arisu and Usagi locate an underground room where the “gamemasters” they believed to be are found dead. The players are then presented to a woman named Mira, who informs them that the games have just begun and that the face cards are now at stake.
What will happen in Alice in Borderland Season 2?
With the last episode of Season 1 significantly increasing the series’ scope, anything might happen! But more specifically, Arisu and Usagi are anticipated to continue their search for the final cards they need, which will likely lead to a confrontation with Mira Kano, the Queen of Hearts introduced late in season 1. Director Shinsuke Sato provided a hint as to what we may see this season by noting, “I will illustrate a strange, never-before-seen world and an unexpected, uncompromising progression.” Sounds eerie!
Alice in Borderland Season 2 Cast and Crew?
Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will likely reprise their roles as Ryhei Arisu and Yuzuha Usagi, respectively. Nijir Murakami as Shuntar Chishiya, Aya Asahina as Hikari Kuina, Shao Aoyagi as Aguni Morizono, and Riisa Naka as Mira Kano, the Queen of Hearts, are also scheduled to return.
