The penultimate episode of Alchemy of Souls Season 2 highlighted exactly why viewers became so invested in the show in the first place, making it ready to go out with a bang as the series draws to a close. The stage is now set for what could turn out to be an amazing conclusion thanks to the establishment of a dramatic power struggle and intriguing underdogs.
The second season of the Korean historical drama series with the same name, Alchemy of Souls, is the sequel to the first season. The first episode of the sitcom aired on tvN on December 10, 2022. It was directed by Park Joon-hwa and starred Lee Jae-wook, Go Yoon-jung, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Na-ra, and Jo Jae-yoon, amongst other cast members.

Alchemy Of Souls Season 2 Episode 9 Ending Explained
Jang Uk wishes her luck for the wedding and hopes they would visit him in Alchemy of Souls season 2 episode 9. After telling Park Jin, he accepts to move to the North Fortress. Later, Seo Yul tells Jang Uk the truth about the three-year-old incident, but after hearing Jang Uk’s response, he says nothing.
At the Unanimous Assembly, the wizards learn about Jin Mu and pressure Naksu to remove the ice stone from Jang Uk. Jang Uk has released a soul shifter, and she accepts the order.
She tells them to have Jang Uk look after the soul shifter and see them go before leaving for Danhyanggok. Jang Uk hears her words and follows, finally being able to call her his callous master again. The queen and Seo Yoon-oh find Jin Mu in the prison, dying, and Jin Mu uses the soul ejector to shift into Seo Yoon-body. oh’s
He soon gets in front of the King and confesses that he is Jin Mu, relieving the King as members of the Unanimous Assembly come from behind to support Jin Mu, who has promised them great powers. While Jin Cho-yeon, Park Dang-gu, and Sang-ho grieve, Jang Uk enters Songrim to find three coffins. They’re Park Jin, Kim Do-ju, and Jin Ho-kyung.

Alchemy Of Souls Season 2 Episode 9 Recap
The Crown Prince checks on the priestess as Bu-yeon almost verifies her soul is Naksu’s. Jang Uk tells his companion to protect her blue marks while he decides what to do with her after reassuring the royal. He openly informs Bu-yeon that only he can reach thus near.
Jang Uk finds an ice stone in Gwido that “desires to absorb human energy like a soul shifter that has run wild.” The Crown Prince realises the wraith assaulted Bu-yeon because a Choi family member had “deep animosity” toward Jin Seol-ran. After this, the Jinyowon priestess summoned her two companions to save her and the royal is working with Jang Uk to expose and destroy Jin Mu’s soul shifter organisation.
Next, flashback sequences show Jang Uk and the Crown Prince fighting over a turtle, the monster hunter avoiding the North Fortress, Songrim accessing Jin Mu’s crockery, and the Gwanju planning to invade Jinyowonto steal the fire bird.
Master Lee wonders if Naksu travelled to Gwido to disappear after retrieving her body’s divine powers. Ho-eldest gyeong’s daughter, Jin Seol-ran, was saved by the ice stone constructed for the late priestess. The Crown Prince talks to Bu-yeon about his friendship with Jang Uk and his love interest in the shadow assassin the monster hunter had.
Seo Yul gives Heo Yeom a divination potion he found in So-things. i’s The brilliant magician suggests investigating the medicine’s Cheonbugwan roots, while Park Jin claims the Queen was fed Shaman Choi’s concoction. Yul learns that the potion made individuals “go insane” and hear bells. Naksu may have used it.
Park Jin informs Seo Yul that Uk’s responsibility isn’t making up for Mu-wrongdoings, deok’s but rather holding the power the Gwanju covet. After the “fight” begins at sunset, Park Jin visits the King at the palace.
Jang Uk lures Jin Mu into Gwido with an ice stone instead of murdering him. Bu-yeon greets the Gwanju and offers cynically to help the villain use his new item. As indicated, the ice stone is empty and simply wants Jin Mu’s energy. Gwanju dies taunted by Naksu.

Park Jin informs the King of Jin Mu’s fate and the secret organization’s soul shifters’ deaths while Jang Uk falls, worrying His Majesty that Songrim will now attack the monarchy and the Unanimous Assembly. The Queen grows furious that she will always exist in her current body and demands Yun-o find a solution.
As Seo Yul tries to convince a returning Naksu that Jin Mu was to blame for her rage three years ago, Jang Uk wishes Maidservant Kim the best for her wedding, which he cannot attend owing to his imminent trip to the North Fortress for the King.
The Unanimous Assembly begins after Jang Uk recognises he cannot remain with Naksu despite her impending death. Bu-powers yeon’s and Jin Mu’s fate are revealed here. The priestess is then ordered to remove Jang Uk’s ice stone, which would kill him. Yun-o and the Queen enter Gwido to learn soul alchemy.
Jang Uk is eventually persuaded to kill Naksu. The Unanimous Assembly is surprised by the monster hunter’s wrath and insistence on concluding the session.
