He recently told The New Yorker, “Everyone has a different mother.” “Having three separate children with three different moms isn’t what I had anticipated happening when I fell in love or got married, but that is what has occurred. Cage has a remarkable personal life, having been married several times and had kids. Actress Patricia Arquette was the subject of his first marriage, which ended in divorce in 2001. Then, in August 2002, he wed Lisa Marie Presley, a singer and composer who was Elvis Presley’s daughter. In July 2004, he wed Alice Kim, a former waitress, for the third time. On October 3, 2005, Kal-El Coppola Cage, their son, was born. January 2016 saw the separation of Cage and Kim. His second child is Kal-El. Actress Christina Fulton gave birth to Nic’s eldest child, Weston Coppola Cage, in 1990. Cage and Fulton briefly dated.
In February 2021, Cage remarried to Riko Shabata following his 2019 Las Vegas marriage to Erika Koike, which was dissolved in four days. Together, the couple welcomed a daughter last year.
Cage States That Having a Daughter Differs From Having a Son
Cage later discussed how raising a daughter is different from raising his sons in an interview with The New Yorker. “This is a hyperbolic display of varying degrees of anxiety and safeguarding,” he declared.
The actor said, “Well, the reading is not where it should be,” in response to the question of how his daughter keeps him occupied. I’ve been devoted to parenting my child full time. Now that I’m tired, I’m attempting to read and commit my dialogue to memory. However, I find that I enjoy reading books more when I feel like I understand the translation or when there is none at all.
Cage remained silent about his eldest son Weston’s continuous legal issues. In relation to an attack on his mother, Christina Fulton, that happened in April, Weston was taken into custody this month.
Following her photoshoot with bruises on her face, Christina stated, “Weston and I had no argument prior to the incident,” at the time. “On Sunday, April 28, a few of Weston’s closest friends contacted me to ask for help as they were witnessing a mental health crisis with Weston.”
“When I arrived, I found my son in the midst of a severe mental health crisis, which was a harrowing experience,” she said. “I have always been dedicated to supporting my son through his mental health challenges. I am doing everything I can to ensure he gets the ongoing support he needs.”
Reports state that Cage covered their son’s bail, but the case is still pending.
