Recap of A Model Family’s Season 1 Finale

The final episode of the series seeks to provide characters with closure, but it is not as straightforward as it may look. Dong-ha supports Gwang Cheol by betraying Kang-jun, who receives a shocking and unexpected finish. Undoubtedly, this naive and timid man still finds it difficult to accept the people and situation he has gotten himself involved with, which continues to startle him.

On his return home, he discovers the police excavating his backyard in search of the bodies. Dong-ha realizes that his father has already transported the dead after an unexpected turn of events renders the police without leads.

Dong-ha later unearths the dashcam film in order to determine what happened to Han-Cheol. He learns that the two engaged in combat when Myeong-su attacked him, leading to their deaths.

Dong-ha continues the episode by notifying Joo-Hyun of the location of Han’s remains, thereby offering her closure. However, she immediately realizes that Jung-kook is the department’s mole and that she is responsible for the murder of Han. Cheol gathers evidence against Jung-kook and then shoots him in front of the entire department.

A voice orders him to protect the phone, as his family’s survival now depends on him, and they will soon meet.

Dong-ha begins A Model Family as a timid but desperate individual and ends as a timid but slightly more daring individual. He desires to do the right thing by turning himself in and accepting responsibility for his wrongdoings, but escaping this circle is difficult.

The family has come a long way and undergone much character development; nevertheless, Dong-ha and Eun-marital ju’s problems are far from being resolved, as things have only become worse for them. Instead, Dong-ha and Gwang Cheol have created an implausible friendship in which they aid one another in the most unlikely of circumstances.
