‘below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Paget Berry and Johana Mills Are Engaged ‘no One I’d Rather Laugh, Life With’
Paget Berry is engaged to Johana Mills eight months after they went public with their romance. On Sunday, August 21, the reality star announced his engagement to Mills through Instagram alongside a collage of photographs of the couple, including the moment he got down on one knee.
Berry captioned the romance clip, “I was incredibly fortunate to meet a ‘Harbor town gal’ last year who showed me the sights and sounds of Newport when I first arrived by boat.”

The sailor then described his first date with his future wife. “Our first date consisted of a messy Mexican lunch!” I waited for Jo to go to the restroom so I could consume as much food as possible before she returned. “She was momentarily perplexed as to where the majority of the meal had disappeared,” he joked. “It was pretty much love at first sight for me, but it may have taken Jo a bit to realize it after our first date because I ate 70% of the food A problematic trait in a mate!”
Berry was no longer joking when he described his love for Mills. “Food aside, there is no one with whom I’d rather laugh, live, weep, dance, and attempt all types of accents than you, Johana. I am so proud of you and everything that you are accomplishing, and I am ecstatic to be your fiancé and future husband. Never change.”
In November 2021, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht star and Mills made their romance Instagram official by posting a video of them spending personal moments together. Set to Social House and Lil Yachty’s song “Magic in the Hamptons,” the reality star and his love drank wine in a jacuzzi, joked about rubbing their buttocks together in front of a waterfall, and shared a passionate kiss on the beach at sunset.
“4 weeks spent with this one in Costa Rica and this is all we have to show for it!” Berry captioned the video of himself and his now-fiancee on vacation.
Berry and Mills’ relationship began almost a year after his breakup with Below Deck co-star Ciara Duggan. The former couple began dating in 2016, four years prior to the premiere of their sailing-themed Bravo series in February 2020. They became engaged in July 2020, shortly after the conclusion of the first season, however, their relationship dissolved in March 2021.
After the separation made headlines in April 2021, Duggan told Us Weekly exclusively, “There were a number of reasons why it ended.” “Being in France, we were not quarantined and we were not confined in any way. We were there merely living our lives. But, you know, I was doing temporary jobs, and throughout that time I found that I was happy on my own for a variety of reasons.”
Since they began dating when she was 18, the Bravo celebrity stated that she did not expect their relationship to last forever and had not anticipated their marriage.
