Lamborghini was started by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963 to compete with Ferrari. Its rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports cars made it stand out right away.

1. Veneno Roadster
The most expensive Lamborghini in the world is the Veneno Roadster, which is worth a whopping $8.3 million. The original starting price was $4.5 million, but the most recent sale was for just under $8.3 million.
It came out in 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show to mark the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini. It has a 6.5-litre aspirated V12 engine in the middle and 750 hp. It can reportedly go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.
The super sports car is almost completely made of carbon fibre, weighs 3,285 pounds, and has the best aerodynamics to keep it stable on the road.
2. Veneno
The Veneno is another car that Lamborghini made to mark its 50th anniversary. It is based on the Aventador. At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Veneno was shown. At the time, it was one of the most expensive production cars in the world.

 In 2001, at the Paris Auto Show, the Sesto Elemento Concept was shown. It has a V10 engine with 570 hp and a six-speed transmission. It is almost entirely made of light carbon fibre and weighs about 2,200 lbs.
In terms of design, everything is black, with small touches of red and the smoothest lines you’ve ever seen. Lamborghini says the car can go from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and can go as fast as 185 mph.
In 2011, only twenty Elemento concepts were made, and each one sold soon after it was announced.
6. AventadorÂ
At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, this one-of-a-kind, limited-edition Aventador was on display. The concept car has no windows or roof, but it does have a 6.5-litre V12 engine with 700 horsepower and a single-clutch transmission.
It also has a big diffuser in front and back, 20-inch wheels in front and 21-inch wheels in the back with carbon fibre fans to keep the brakes from getting too hot.
Most of the “extras,” like the air conditioning and radio, have been taken away to make it as light as possible. The seats are made of a custom material made by Lamborghini called “Carbon Skin.” This material is a weave of carbon fibres that have been soaked in resin.
Before it was shown at the Geneva Motor Show, the Aventador J had already been sold for $2.8 million.
7. Reventón Roadster
In 2009, the Lamborghini Reventón Roadster was shown off for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
It is similar to its predecessor, the Reventón, but has some important differences, such as a 6.5-litre V12 engine with 661 hp, 487 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 205 mph.
Everything about it is the same as the coupe except for its height. It has the same carbon bodywork on top of a steel spaceframe.
But the best part of the car is the inside, which has multi-mode liquid crystal displays in an aluminium and carbon fibre case, a G-force metre, and luxury leather seats with contrast stitching.
The Reventón Roadster was only made in a total of fifteen cars, and even though they cost $2.2 million each, all fifteen were quickly bought by car fans.
8. Pregunta Concept
In October 1998, the Lamborghini Pregunta Concept was shown off for the first time at the Paris Motor Show.
It was one of the last cars made by Lamborghini before the VW group took over. The car was based on the Diablo and had the same 530 bhp V12 engine.
The aerospace industry was the source of ideas for the Pregunta, which is a concept car. It’s mostly made out of carbon fibre, and instead of side mirrors, it has cameras and optical fibre lighting inside.

10. Mansory Carbonado Apertos
The tenth most expensive Lamborghini is the Mansory Carbonado Apertos. It was sold for an eye-popping $1.6 million a few years ago.
Mansory took an ordinary Aventador Roadster and changed everything about it, from the outside to the inside.
The body is made of matte carbon fibre, which gives it a stealthy look, and the inside has been made more attractive with black and yellow leather and detailed stitching.
There are only three models of the Apertos, and you can get a twin-turbo upgrade that boosts the 6.5-litre V12 to 1,250 hp and 900 Nm.
To be clear, that means the Apertos can reach a top speed of 380 km/h (236 mph) and go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds!
The car also has forged light-alloy wheels with carbon inlays that come in two different sizes.
